Two Days Off In A Row…WOO HOO!!! (posted: 7/20/08)

The smiley above always makes me laugh. One of my sales associates at work does that a lot and I think it’s so funny.

So today is my second day off. It’s really been nice to have two days off in a row. I think that I honestly needed the time. Marcus is at work. I think that he was hoping to get off work around noon today (which is….now). I look for him to be calling me shortly. We were planning on heading to Canyon Lake today. We thought we might bum around there for a bit and check things out. It looks as if it’s about to be the place that we call home. I think it’s always exciting to check out the area that you are about to move to. At first, it’s even fun to discover things such as: this is where I might shop for groceries….or this is where the post office is. Maybe I’m just way too sentimental…but I think it’s fun.

It will also be nice to uncover some restaurants that are out that way. I have already looked at the Chamber Of Commerce for Canyon Lake. I thought that would be a good place to start. I have also checked out some of the parks that will be nearby. There are actually several that will be close to our house. It will be fun to go for picnics, walks, trips with the pugs. I have missed doing stuff like that. Plus, all that walking will hopefully help me to shed the 45 pounds that I have somehow managed to gain since moving to Texas….ugh!!!

I know that I have a lot on my plate at work this next week. So, for now, I am going to enjoy the rest of my day off while I can. I still have not heard back about closing on the house. However, it’s Sunday…and no one is going to be open or call on Sunday. Maybe I will hear something tomorrow.
