Homeowners At Last!!!

We finally did it! Yesterday, we finished with all of the closing paperwork for our new home. I’m so relieved. There is still a lot of work to be done before we move in. They were hoping to try to pour the foundation today. However, with the rain, I’m sure that will have to wait. There is also some clearing and much cleaning on the property to be done. Then, they will get the home on the land. After that, they will have to level the home and put the skirting around it. Finally, they will have to connect all of our utilities and do the final inspections and obtain all of the permits needed.

It’s looking like we should be ready to move in sometime in September….possibly around the first week or so if all goes well and on schedule.

We are both very excited. We still have a lot do do. We have not even started packing yet…though I don’t think that will be as bad as last time…since we have not really even decorated the apartment too much.

I posted a video that I took of the property a few days ago. There’s a lot of junk on it right now that will have to be cleared, but you just have to look past that. It’s a nice large strip of land that will be pretty cool once it’s cleaned up and we do some landscaping.

I also posted two other videos on my YouTube account of some deer that we saw in a neighborhood that’s near our new home site.
